Merchandising: L’Oréal Paris

Seasonal Re-Merchandise for L’Oréal Paris

Brief

We were contracted by major cosmetics brand L’Oréal Paris to carry out a full retail merchandising refit of its make-up range. This consisted of 2,078 stores over ten days.

The brief was to enable the client to maximise sales from brand refresh activity, category management and its new product range launch.

Goal

To enable L’Oréal to maximise sales from brand refresh activity and new product launch.

Solution

As part of this, new POS displays were implemented according to a fresh planogram, including graphic and price ticket changes, and filtered according to category management and individual store requirements.

  • Collate and distribute new POS and tester products to 2,078 Boots and Superdrug stores, based on store specific requirements
  • Remove existing products from the stand and clean the unit
  • Install new POS (shelf trays and printed Shelf Edge Labels (SELs)) as per new planogram
  • Merchandise products and testers
  • Return obsolete POS, products and testers to store contact
  • Complete post- project questionnaire on smartphone
  • Photograph before and after activity and upload results to client portal

Results

Detailed photos were taken before and after the installation, with the results uploaded to the client portal for inspection.

The outcome was a highly successful retail merchandising refit, with 100 per cent compliance achieved against client brief.
