Retailers and brands have many things to consider when it comes to the annual festivities, which can take almost a year of detailed planning to put in place. We have selected our 5 favourite Christmas Adverts from the UK’s biggest retailers for you to watch below!

Ikea’s first-ever Christmas advert ‘Silences the Critics’ once and for all. The wonderful everyday looks to inspire the nation to get their homes party ready for Christmas!
This is not just a christmas advert….
M&S Food’s campaign features comedian Paddy McGuinness and Emma Willis reveling in seasonal treats and goodies round a Christmas Market.
The grocer’s advert differs from last year’s fast-paced commercial in favour of an emotional story to pull on consumers’ heart strings. Asda were the first of the big supermarkets to release their advert this year – Let’s Make Christmas Extra Special. The ad features a little girl delivering sparkle around her neighbourhood.
It is 150 years since Sainsbury’s opened its first store. Tying into this – we see a young chimney sweep named Nicholas and how he became Father Christmas.
Excitable Edgar, a dragon (who is now available in stores), has uncontrollable excitement when it comes to Christmas. This often gets him into unfortunate trouble and through these mishaps, he becomes isolated from all the Christmas festivities… until Christmas dinner, where he is able to light the Christmas pudding!
Soundtracked by Bastille and their version of ‘Can’t fight this feeling’, Edgar is our favourite this year !
